RTHK is committed to promoting smart broadcasting and set up an AI lab in Kwun Tong in July to explore the application of AI technology in program production, stimulate creativity, improve work efficiency and enhance program quality. The AI lab is also committed to promoting media education, giving young students the opportunity to understand the integration of AI and television production through facility tours. In addition to cultivating creative thinking, the tour also emphasizes the ethics of AI, including the importance of honesty, respect for BroadCast Unitedlectual property rights, and preventing possible bias in generated content.
In order to keep up with technological development and new media trends, RTHK’s AI Lab is equipped with a variety of AI software to improve production efficiency. In terms of systems, RTHK has also introduced motion capture systems, high-performance computer Unreal Engine, and AI video editing and audio mixing systems, providing the production team with more diverse creative possibilities.
Earlier, members of the Advisory Committee of RTHK visited the RTHK Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and expressed their appreciation and recognition for the development direction of smart broadcasting. Last month, RTHK also arranged 12 workshops for primary and secondary school students to experience various artificial BroadCast Unitedligence applications firsthand. During the event, students became producers and used simulated lighting, cameras and set equipment in a virtual studio environment to experience the process of shooting virtual characters firsthand. They also worked with professional instructors to experience the use of artificial BroadCast Unitedligence software tools for image design, photography and editing. Through these production activities, students were able to experience and demonstrate the responsible application of artificial BroadCast Unitedligence technology.
