Digicel Bula Boys captain Roy Krishna has called on fans living in the Central Region to flock to the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Sunday to cheer on the team as they take on Papua New Guinea in their first match of the Oceania Football Championship (OFC).

Krishna said the fans will be their 12day A good performance on match day will surely boost the morale and confidence of the team.

Commenting on the team’s preparations, the Odisha FC striker said they are lucky to have an injury-free squad.

“There have been no injuries in the Fiji FACT competition, everyone is in great shape and we are looking forward to doing well in the Nations Cup.”

“We have built a good bond in the camp. Emotions are high and young players who were shy before are now opening up and sharing how they feel about the team, what they have been through and how to boost team morale.”

“It is also good to have overseas players in the team as they can bring experience and share knowledge with the young players in the camp.”

“Guys like Gabby (Matanesiga), Brandon, Nabil and Scott add depth to the team while also helping me take care of the kids in camp with their professionalism.”

He added: “The boys are ready and we hope our people will come to the stadium to support us because we will definitely give our best for the country.”

Fiji will play Papua New Guinea at 4pm.
