Riga Waterfront hopes to start construction this year – housing to be built around former Andrej Jala power station

The development of Andrejsala or the grandiose project “Riga Waterfront”, which covers more than 50 hectares, is planned to start from the so-called Riga SoHo district, i.e. the part near Eksporta Street, the project’s implementers revealed.

What kind of future vision the project implementers have envisioned for this neighborhood, everyone can assess for themselves by looking at the model at the project sales office in Andrejsala, but the “drawn” vision is one of the reasons why the cooperation with the municipality has already begun to waver. In addition, the territorial development concept has not yet been formally submitted for consideration, and no decision has been made. On the other hand, the builders point out that there are already some problems in attracting qualified specialists and simple workers.
