NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Local golf enthusiasts are gearing up for the 35th annual charity golf tournament hosted by the Rotary Club of East Nassau and the Boy Scouts of the Bahamas. RF Bank & Trust (Bahamas) Ltd. has signed on as title sponsor of the tournament, which will be held May 16 at the One & Only Ocean Club Golf Course.

Over the past 35 years, the tournament has been one of the club’s major fundraisers, raising more than $3.5 million for numerous charities throughout the Bahamas. All net proceeds raised are donated to community service organizations sponsored by the Rotary Club of East Nassau and the Bahamas Scouts Association. Recent recipients include the Fox Hill Run Feeding Program, Project Read and the Bahamas National Trust.

“RF is honored to partner with Rotary on this initiative to raise funds for multiple charities across the country,” said David Van Onselen, RF’s Vice President of Financial Advisory Services. “This is especially important in the wake of the pandemic and the stress many are still feeling.”

RF donated $10,000 to the initiative and is looking forward to a relaxing and fun day of competition.
