Revealing the reason why Laila Elwi refused to film a bold scene with Hisham Selim

Director Magdi Ahmed Ali, in a guest appearance on the show “Heliopolis”, said that there is an intimate scene between Laila Elwi and Hisham Selim in the film “Oh, My World, My Love”, the “Dakhla” scene. On the day of the shooting, to my surprise, Laila Elwi told me: “I will not… I will be able to shoot this scene.”

The director explained: “She told me that I was not against the principle, but I grew up with Hisham, he was like a brother to me, and his wife was my friend.” Her words made me uneasy and I told her. She said, “You have read the script and agreed to it.” I started shooting and talked to Rafat Al-Mish, who told me that he did not invite me to act in it.

Magdi Ahmed Ali confirmed that a solution was easily reached with Leila Elvi, I understood her position, and we shot the scene in a different way the next day, which the audience saw in the film, and I think in terms of coordination, it came out better than the revised basic scene.
