Lebanon’s Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it had attacked several Israeli military bases, including the Zarit camp, with artillery shells.
The group said its actions were a direct response to Israeli military attacks on civilian areas in Lebanon and the ongoing war in Gaza.
Hezbollah’s attacks included a drone strike on the settlement of Hanita, which the group said killed or wounded Israeli soldiers.

Videos of Hezbollah attacks were also widely circulated in Israeli media and on social media, showing the results of the Lebanese movement’s attacks on various areas in the Galilee region.
Soon after Israel launched its war on Gaza, Hezbollah announced that it would attack Israeli-occupied positions in southern Lebanon and northern Israel until Tel Aviv ended its genocide against Palestinians.

“In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and glorious resistance, the Islamic Resistance Movement carried out several operations on Sunday, July 21, 2024, against the positions and deployments of Israeli enemy forces on the Lebanese-Palestinian border, as follows:
“1- Katyusha rockets were fired at the settlement of Dafna in retaliation for an attack by the enemies of Israel on civilians in the town of Adlon, which caused several casualties.
At 2-13:24, rocket weapons were aimed at the Ramsar site in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shuba mountain and hit directly.
3-At 14:08, rocket weapons were aimed at the Samaqa location in the occupied Lebanese Kfar Shubashan area, achieving a direct hit.

“4- An airstrike using a squadron of attack drones was launched against the enemy’s newly established headquarters in the settlement of Hanita, directly hitting the assembly point of soldiers, causing confirmed deaths and injuries, in response to the attacks of the “Israeli” enemy on the towns of Adlon and Hula.
“5- Attacked the Northern Army headquarters at the Ein Zetim base with Katyusha rockets in response to the Israeli enemy’s attacks on the towns of Adlon and Hula.
“6- Fired artillery shells at the Zarit military camp in response to an attack by the Israeli enemy on the Lebanese Army in Alma Sha’ab.”
