Report issued by the meeting of Somali scholars

In Mogadishu, the second Somali Scholars Conference concluded with reports on maintaining national unity, preventing radicalization and foreign interference.

Somalia’s prime minister, who attended the final day of the conference, told scholars that al-Shabaab was the biggest threat facing Somalia.

Some scholars who attended the meeting expressed the hope that the issues that emerged, if properly addressed, would change the situation in the country.
