“Refunds will not be calculated from utility service payments.” Narek Mkelchin

Today, at a government meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan announced that pensioners and beneficiaries will have the opportunity to receive 6,000 drams from non-cash payments for the purchase of goods or services, instead of 5,000 drams. “At the same time, we propose that arrears for utility services should not be calculated,” the minister said, noting that from the very beginning, one of the goals of the program was to reduce the shadow circulation of the economy and promote non-cash transactions. “In fact, utility payments were considered completely behind the scenes. Since we have already seen a behavioral change and our pensioners and beneficiaries have actively started using cashless payment options, we propose to implement this change,” he said.
