Comedian, radio host and TV presenter Kate Langbroek is selling her family home of nearly two decades in St Kilda, with plans to upsize elsewhere in the same suburb.

She has listed the five-bedroom home on Burnett Street with expectations of $2.5 million to $2.7 million, with a spring auction date of September 7.

Built in the 1850s, this period home is set on 500m² and has been completely renovated.

The home features a high-end kitchen with Smeg appliances, a living room with a gas fireplace and a built-in trampoline in the backyard.

Public records show the home is owned by Ms Langbroek and her husband Peter Lewis, who bought it about 20 years ago for $830,000, meaning they would have tripled their purchase price if it sold at the guide price.

Belle Property’s John Manning and Will Johnson were the selling agents. Manning said Langbroek and her family were planning to move to a larger home they already had in St Kilda.

“A few years ago they bought a bigger house in the area and we rented it for them for a short period. The tenants moved out so they decided now was the time (to sell the Burnett Street house),” he said.

During his tenure, Langbrook renovated the old cottage.
