Queen Victoria School successfully retained their U18 Vodafone Super Dean’s title with a dominant 27-13 win over Nasinu Secondary School at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva tonight.
QVS started strongly, taking an early 7-0 lead in the 12th minute when hooker Waisake Vakacere crossed the line and defender Nathan Stephens scored.
In the 19th minute, winger Joleni Raiyawa scored again to extend the lead to 12-0.
Nasinu’s Samuela Ravoci helped her team maintain the lead with two free throws, reducing the deficit to 12-6.

However, Stephens scored another penalty for QVS, extending the lead to 15-6 at halftime.
Wing player Ilaitia Rakuro further extended the deficit early in the second half, scoring from a corner kick to give the defending champions a 20-6 lead.

Asaeli Gade then scored another try to seal the win, putting Nasinu out of control of the match.
In the final moments, Nasinu managed to score the first point through Sionasa Verenasau, but it was too late and QVS could only celebrate their hard-earned victory.
