Qatar Career Development Center concluded the activities of its sixth annual program “My Career, My Future”, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and involving 13 entities from the government and private sectors, providing professional experience to more than 80 high school students over a full week-long course.
The closing day, held at the Education City Student Centre Forum, paid tribute to the students and participating units for their efforts in making the project a success, highlighted the students’ experiences and achievements throughout the project, and celebrated the winners of the competition that accompanied the program, where students demonstrated how well they had absorbed the knowledge and skills they had acquired.
These activities include a university fair organized by the Qatar National Development Center in partnership with Qatar and Doha University of Science and Technology, Rayyan International University College, Qatar Finance and Business College, and Qatar Aviation Academy to provide an overview of local universities, review information about the faculties and majors available to students, and educate them on the academic degrees available, as well as how to … Apply and admission requirements so that program participants can consciously and informedly determine their academic path.
In a statement, Mr. Saad Abdullah Al-Kharji, Director of the Programs and Professional Services Department at the Qatar Center for Career Development, pointed out that the sixth edition of the “My Career is My Future” program has had a far-reaching and sustainable impact, expressing his pride in the achievements of the Center since its inception. The program has become an important part of its annual agenda and one of the main pillars of its efforts to provide secondary school students with practical experience and expertise in key economic sectors in order to promote sustainable development in the State of Qatar.
He added that achieving the goal of providing today’s youth with the skills, knowledge and awareness they need for future success requires ongoing collaboration with other stakeholders in human capital development and that this goal cannot be accomplished without joint efforts. He commended the support of all parties involved in the success of this project and thanked the students for their commitment to the project activities and their eagerness to benefit from it.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Talfat, Director of the Rehabilitation and Skill Development Department at the Ministry of Labor, praised the strategic partnership with the Qatar Vocational Development Center and noted the enthusiasm of students to actively participate in the program. He stressed that the Ministry of Labor will continue to work hard to invest in national human resources, train generations of technical students, and build the country’s high-skilled capacity base for the future.
