Russian President Vladimir Putin has fired Mikhail Popov, deputy secretary general of Russia’s Security Council.
The report cited TASS as saying that the document had been published on the official legal information portal.
“Mikhail Mikhailovich Popov should be dismissed from his post as deputy secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation,” the document said.
