Mr. Donain de Jesús Altamirano Estrada, 37, was shot in the chest and killed inside the grocery store in the Camarena area of San José de Boqueira, Jinotega department.
Altamirano Estrada was in his store when an unidentified man arrived and asked him to sell cigarettes, but when he told him he had no cigarettes, he pulled out a revolver and shot him, the report said.
The store owner died on the spot while the killer fled in an unknown direction while another suspect was waiting for him on the roadside.
Ms. Maria Estrada Sobalvaro, 63, reported the case to the police to determine the identity of the murderer and his accomplices and the motive for the crime.
