MLB Development Program Puerto Rico announces date change Audition and registered for coach training due to Storm Ernesto.
The new youth trials, originally scheduled for August 13 and 14 in Mayaguez and Ponce, will now be held on August 19 and 21.
This year, MLB is launching a new offer in the Advanced Program that will expand the age limit to 19 for players interested in continuing to perfect their skills after high school. The process is the same; you must register to play at Audition.
The program is completely free and lasts three hours, two days a week for beginners and three days a week for advanced students. The districts for this semester are Mayaguez, Ponce, Bayamon and Caguas.

Players will be evaluated for both the Youth Program (covering youths aged 12 to 14) and the Senior Program (covering youths aged 15 to 19).

In September – and after a few years – the Development Department once again launched a training for baseball and softball coaches. Participants will receive modern learning on how to train young talents. The training event starts at 6:00 pm. All participants must register, the link is as follows:

The program is part of MLB’s ongoing commitment to the development of baseball in Puerto Rico. It provides young players and coaches with the opportunity to receive quality instruction and practice with professional experts from all major leagues.
