Despite defensive problems, PSV Eindhoven won away to Heracles Almelo. In the second half, the champions came back from a deficit: 1-3.
Brian De Keersmaecker gave Heracles Almelo the lead in the fifth minute. The captain was awarded a penalty after Frederick Opegaard fouled Brian Limbombe.
After a weak first half, PSV equalized in the 52nd minute. Ivan Messik fired the ball into his own net with Gus Till, who was replacing Malik Tillman, close by.
It was not Messi’s game, as Bakayoko gave PSV the lead in the 59th minute through the legs of a Slovak defender. Couhaib Driouech decided the final score in the 90th minute.
PSV Eindhoven saw Bakayoko, defenders Opegaard and Ledezma go down injured. Coach Peter Bosz is waiting for a new defender. Jordan Teze is heading to Monaco and Olivier Boscali wants to go to Brighton.
Armando Obispo and Mauro Junior are also absent but are on their way back from injury. Injured left-back Sergino Dest will take longer to return.
