On Friday evening at 7:30 pm at the Cultural Center in Mostar, there will be a promotion event for the book “Zapisi o nama” by the author and famous Bosnian journalist Eldina Zolj – Balenović.
This book talks about the author’s battle with breast cancer, women’s health empowerment, and answers the question – why it is necessary for women to really talk about these diseases.
The publication also serves as a memorial to the women who have died from this vicious disease. This book talks in an honest and open way about being a woman with breast cancer, and all our fears, hopes, wishes, difficulties and problems.
In addition, the book tells the stories of three women who died of breast cancer, but it is not about their deaths, but about life, strength, resistance and desire…
The promotion in Mostar will be the fifth in a row, and so far the book has been promoted in Sarajevo, Vogošca, Hadžić and Breza.
The initiators included: Edina Kamenica – long-time journalist from Oslobođenja, Enida Glušac – president of the Association of Women with Breast and Gynecological Cancer, Imela Kašibović – member of Renaissance and Dr. Lamija Šikalo. Adnan Demić was the host and Adnan Pajević was responsible for the music part.
