Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Özgur Özer will file a complaint with the Turkish Foreign Ministry regarding Turkey’s attitude towards the “ambassador” to the occupied territories, Metin Fezioglu, who does not meet with him. Wherever they go in the world, they are welcomed, or if they do not come themselves, the embassy staff will appoint another person.
According to GTP, the media today referred to Mr. Özer’s statement following his meeting with the Kudret Özer People’s Party on Saturday. “The Cypriots received us very well, they welcomed us in a very good way. If Cyprus made a mistake, it was done by the Turkish ambassador to Cyprus,” Özer said, referring to Fezioglu, and went on to say, “If the ambassador did not do it (meet with us), he would have done it himself and would have made excuses. But he cannot force the embassy to do it. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an institution with traditions. It is an institution that cannot lower its standards in the hands of such mediocrity.”
Turkish “ambassador” Metin Fezioglu responded to the Turkish opposition leader that he and the “embassy” do not welcome any group to come to the occupied territories to participate in the celebrations of the Turkish invasion. “As an embassy, we cannot and will not catch up with everyone. The TDVK Congress invites all parties from Turkey. Because they are her guests”, he said, referring to the pseudo-state’s “parliament”. “We welcome the delegation sent by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, there is no discrimination between parties,” he added.
He noted that when they announced they would bring in veterans if any accommodations were needed, they contacted a CHP vice president but received a negative response.
