Princess Alexia, the second daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, will study “Science and Engineering for Social Change” at University College London from next academic year.

It had previously been reported that the princess would go to Groningen after completing a gap year. She spent her final two years of secondary school at Atlantic College in Wales.

According to the university’s website, students will “acquire the multidisciplinary knowledge required for roles in business, philanthropy, government and policy.” The three-year degree is a Bachelor of Science and is awarded by the Faculty of Engineering.

Alexia told reporters in June that she was undecided about what degree to choose and had already signed up for several courses.

The king’s eldest daughter, Amalia, who is studying for a joint degree in political science, psychology, law and economics at the University of Amsterdam, spent much of last year in Spain after receiving the threats.
