During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated His Majesty the King on behalf of the Government and people of Bhutan.
During the meeting, the King and the Prime Minister said that although Bhutan and Lesotho are far apart, the two countries have many similarities.
Bhutan and Lesotho are both rugged mountainous countries located approximately 28 degrees north and south of the equator, with a total population of 100,000.
The King and the Prime Minister discussed the overall challenges and opportunities of their respective countries, particularly demographics and economy.
Bhutan and Lesotho are jointly developing agriculture, tourism and electricity in the area, which is home to 100,000 people.
