The head of state was briefed on the work results and development prospects of Orbis Kazakhstan.
Farukh Mahmudov reported in particular on the plans to build a full-cycle car plant in the Almaty Industrial Park. Within the framework of the project, Chinese brands such as Exeed and Kaiyi will be integrated into one production base. A comprehensive agreement was reached with Chinese partners to assemble cars from small parts. The total investment in the project is 72 billion tenge. 1,500 new jobs will be created at the initial stage. The plant has a production capacity of 80,000 cars per year. Products are sold on domestic and foreign markets, including exports to Central Asia and the Caucasus countries.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the company’s participation in the development of infrastructure in Astana. This year, the enterprise plans to complete the construction of the trading market complex, start the construction of a multidisciplinary medical clinic, and start the construction of a wholesale trade and distribution center in the agricultural park.
In addition, the group of companies is implementing a number of projects related to the development of the Almaty tourism cluster. More specifically, the reconstruction of the Almaty Hotel, which is considered a symbol and historical building of the southern capital, has begun. The construction of the “Prosveshnets” recreation center and the Konayev multifunctional recreation center is underway.
In addition, the head of state was informed about the company’s contribution to eliminating the consequences of flooding in the settlements of Aksu and Kentubek in the West Kazakhstan region. Farukh Mahmudov thanked the president for his continuous support for domestic enterprises.
At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokaev positively evaluated the company’s initiatives and wished success in the implementation of new projects.
