He thanked the leaders of countries including Barbados, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Cuba, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Oman, Qatar, Senegal, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Switzerland, Tanzania, Turkey, Uganda, Venezuela, Zambia and others for their commitment to continued cooperation.

After being elected, President Paul Kagame thanked all those who helped him in the campaign and gave him the confidence to lead the Rwandan people again, promising them that there are many good things in the future and that as long as everyone works together, the country will achieve development based on the achievements made 30 years ago.


After the National Electoral Commission provisionally announced the votes for the presidential candidates of the Republic, heads of state and government from around the world thanked President Kagame for regaining the trust of the Rwandan people.

On July 22, 2024, the National Electoral Commission (NEC) announced the final election results, confirming that Paul Kagame was elected president with 99.18% of the votes.
