At the Cultural Shelter in Doboj, the exhibition of works from the “Krčmarica” art colony, which has been held in the Özren Mountains since 2018, opens tonight.
Works by academic painters Pavel Risticevic, Irina Černjavski Šantić, Čedomir Kesić, Milovan Čikić, Branislav Kovačević, Gordana Zaklan, Jagoda Šestić, Nenad Vojčić, Branislav Marković, Dragana Grašar, Drago Simić and Jovan Spasić were presented.
The exhibition was opened by academic painter Pavle Risticevic, who told Srna that 30 works out of about 200 paintings created during the five art colonies were on display.
“Different techniques were used, including watercolor, with portraits and landscapes dominating the subject matter,” said Risticevic, who described Mount Ozren as very inspiring in terms of content.
He said that well-known painters from Serbia and Republika Srpska have participated in the colony since its establishment in 2018, Srna reported.
He said that the art colony was created on the initiative of the Association for the Development of Rural Tourism and Preservation of Traditions “Krčmarica – Old Heritage” and was held at the Paragliding Club camp “Paragost” in the Okolišta region.
The president of the “Krčmarica – Ancient Heritage” Association, Petar Tubić, announced that this year also the sixth consecutive edition of the Art Colony will be organized, and that there is a great interest in maintaining it due to its creative atmosphere and socializing.
Works can be viewed in the Cultural Asylum Gallery from 17:00 to 21:00 daily.
