Poll: 56% of citizens will spend Eid al-Fitr with their families

The National Opinion Research Center (Opinion), which is affiliated with the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, conducted a poll on how people spend their time during Eid al-Fitr. The poll was conducted by telephone among a random sample of 1,955 male and female citizens. The proportion of males was 44% and that of females was 56%.

On how they will spend the morning of Eid, 56% of the respondents said they will spend it with their small family (parents, husband or wife, children, siblings). While 36% said they will spend it in a large family gathering. Of these, 4% said they will arrive at their workplace on the morning of Eid. As for the remaining 4%, they said they prefer to sleep on the morning of Eid so that their sleep schedule will not be affected if they continue to stay up till noon.

As for how to celebrate the festival more widely, 72% of the respondents said that they would celebrate it by gathering in a guest house or farm where there are a large number of relatives, such as uncles or uncles and their children. 20% of the respondents said that they would participate in activities held in their city during this event, 4% of the respondents said that they would participate in activities held in other cities, and 4% of the respondents planned to travel abroad during these days of Eid al-Fitr.
