Police launch investigation after teenager’s body found in Nokia | Yle News

Based on on-site observations, the police opened an investigation into this suspected homicide.

Police have launched a suspected homicide investigation after the body of a teenage boy was found in Nokia on Friday morning.

According to sources in Yle, the boy was born in 2008. His body was found near the Emäkoski rapids in the town’s Koskenmäki neighborhood.

Police said a patrol team responded to the scene after being notified of the discovery just after 7am.

According to authorities, based on observations at the scene, police filed a criminal report into the suspected homicide.

According to Yle’s sources, there were two ambulances and some police officers in the area.

Media reports initially said the body was found near a school, but that was not the case.
