NASSAU | Police are digging into a major homicide investigation this evening related to the suspected murder of a young man whose body was found in the waters near the abandoned Stewart Bay Building in southwest New Providence Island.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released by police, was found around 4:30 p.m. last Thursday with multiple stab wounds and bound around the neck and feet.
Over the weekend, police entered a Government Managing Director Located in the Garden Hills community of Find Evidence. By Sunday afternoon, detectives had found blood on a government-registered vehicle. They have now linked the victim’s blood, which was pulled from the sea, to the crime scene at the Garden Hills residential area.
Late this evening, a team of eight detectives went to the general manager’s Garden Hill residence for the third time to collect more evidence.
We can also tell you that the identity of the victim identified today at the hospital morgue has not yet been released to the public. All we know at this time is that the victim is a 36-year-old man who lived at the Garden Hills residence. The Bahamas News Agency is unlocking channels to confirm the name of the victim in this case.
