This Wednesday, the Public Ministry Border Police captured two fugitives from the authorities in the state of Talamanca (Limon). The arrests took place on Wednesday in the Sixaola district.
One of the arrested men is a Nicaraguan resident in Costa Rica with the last name Orochena; reported the portfolio.
After verifying the person’s legal status, border guards determined that the First Criminal Circuit Court of Limón had an arrest warrant for the foreigner for threatening with weapons since last March.
The second arrest took place in the Ania community in the Siksora district, where authorities reportedly stopped a Costa Rican named Vega who had an active arrest warrant for the crime of failure to comply with protective measures.
Vega has been wanted since December 2023 by the First Judicial Circuit Criminal Court of Limón.
Both fugitives were taken to Bribri (Brazil district) and placed under orders from the Judicial Investigation Service.
