Police are asking the public for videos of the weather during the Pohoda festival.

A large tent at a music festival at Trenčín Airport collapsed due to severe storms.

The police asked for the public’s help in investigating the collapse of tents during the Trencin Pohoda festival on July 12. She invited visitors to send her videos capturing the weather at the festival grounds. She informed about the incident on social networks on Wednesday.

Trenčín regional police investigators are investigating the tent collapse. Police explained: “As part of the investigation, it is necessary to procedurally obtain relevant camera recordings of everything that nature ‘created’ at the festival site.”

In this case, they invite event attendees or members of the public who are nearby and have records of weather conditions at the festival venue before, during and after the storm to contact them via private messages on the Trencin Police website social media network.

The large tent at the festival at Trenčín Airport collapsed due to strong storms. All emergency services are there. A total of 29 people were injured, including a woman with moderate injuries. The injured were taken to hospitals in Trenčín and Povaržska Bystrica.

Police have registered a case for endangering public safety due to the collapse of tents during the festival. Organisers of Pohoda ended the event early.
