PM Sharif expresses condolences on death of Iranian President Raisi

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharifexpressed condolences and sympathy to the Iranian people on the death of former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi. Prime Minister Sharif shared this message on his official social media account, expressing sympathy on the death of former President Raisi.

Sharing the news on social media, Prime Minister Sharif wrote: “I have been anxiously following the developments regarding the helicopter crash in President Raisi. Hoping to hear good news. Sadly, that did not happen.”

Sharif said: “I join the government and people of Pakistan in expressing our deepest condolences and sympathy for this tragic loss suffered by the Iranian nation. May the souls of the martyrs rest in peace in heaven. The great Iranian nation will overcome this tragedy with its usual courage.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sharif also mentioned the visit of President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussain Amir Abdullahian less than a month ago. He pointed out that “less than a month ago, Pakistan was pleased to receive the historic visit of President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussain Amir Abdullahian. They are good friends of Pakistan.”

Pakistan’s prime minister said: “Pakistan will observe a day of mourning and will fly its flag at half-mast as a mark of respect for President Raisi and his companions and in solidarity with brotherly Iran.” Sharif.

It is worth mentioning that earlier yesterday, after the helicopter crash was made public, Prime Minister Sharif also sent out a tweet in which he wished President Raisi well.

He added: “Hearing the disturbing news from Iran about the helicopter crash of President Saeed Ibrahim Raisi. I anxiously await good news that all is well. Our prayers and best wishes are with President Raisi and the entire Iranian nation.”

It is worth noting that former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi was killed in a helicopter crash in the eastern province of Azerbaijan on Sunday. The helicopter carrying Iranian President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian disappeared over the mountains.
