So far, all strategies to combat the violence generated by organized crime have failed because the families of the victims have not been taken into account to seek justice for them, and because of the lack of investigations into the winners of this international business: the banks and the financial system. So far, it is not clear whether an investigation has been launched into the financial and banking system, which is where the profits of traditional money laundering come from. But if you really want to fight organized crime, you have to follow the money route to the big guys.

The gendarmerie strategy has shown its ineffectiveness, since its starting point – decapitation – collapses on itself – the decapitation of criminal groups only leads to the spread of criminal groups and the creation of new, more violent and barbaric ones. The strategy implemented by López Obrador, with only the minimal variant of this social program, has shown that it does not have positive results after a year of implementation, since the families of the victims continue to be treated with contempt, while the gendarmerie wants to put an end to this strategy of removing heads by groups. In the case of the relatives of the victims, the attention of the López Obrador government has been mainly focused on considering the missing persons of Ayotzinapa, while ignoring the other affected families, who did not even want to receive them last Sunday (26th), but who executed a peaceful walk from Cuernavaca to Mexico City.

López Obrador’s treatment of the families of the victims of violence was intolerable, as instead of receiving them he ordered members of the security cabinet to take care of them. Even worse was their treatment outside the National Palace by the president’s followers, who harassed them with insults and threats after they finished their walk in the Zócalo. The contempt meted out to those seeking justice is unjustified. It seems that the Fourth Turn’s wish for the relatives of the dead, the missing and the displaced is not justice but peace in the grave, the same treatment they were given by past governments.
