PATERSON, N.J. – The Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in New Jersey and the University of Saint Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) in Miami have signed an agreement to promote the development and dissemination of educational and academic programs.

The agreement was signed by Consul Angel Pichardo Acosta and USIL Executive Director Luciano Velazco Revoredo, who signed on behalf of its chairman-founder, former Peruvian Vice President Raúl Diez Canseco.

The event was attended by Councilors Luis Velez and Dominican Alex Mendez, president of the city chapter, as well as Vice Consuls Rafael Abreu, Lances Díaz Belliard, Angela Reynoso and Stalin José Montas Saladin.

“We will use the extensive experience of USIL to identify specific projects and programs so that our consulate can serve as a liaison to the large number of our compatriots living in the Garden State and other jurisdictions to promote and expand training for those interested,” Pichardo Acosta said during the review of the relevant agreements.
