Unions representing workers at Aéroports de Paris say they plan to strike on July 17, days before the start of the 2024 Olympics, to increase pressure on management to meet demands on wages and working conditions.

The union is demanding special bonuses and extra resources for all airport staff who take time off during the Olympics, which will be accompanied by a major increase in passenger traffic at the airport. The Games open in Paris on July 26.

The group operates Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports in the French capital.[Reuters]
