“Partir en Livre” will return to Papeete Town Hall on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4, 2024 for its tenth edition.
“Partir en Livre” is the first nationwide event organized by the National Center for the Book (CNL) since 2015 to promote reading among young people. Books are taken off the shelves to meet young readers where they are and in their free time, conveying the taste of reading.

The event was officially opened by Georges Vanffaut, deputy councillor in charge of education, and attended by Marie Goëtz-Georges, the National Inspector of Education for the Papeete-Piret constituency, Councillor Vincent Coue, and Directors of Services Rémy Brillant and Audrey Vairaaroa. The Director of Education of the Commune of Papeete is the organiser of this event, working with her team in collaboration with the CNL.
Papeete’s “Partir en Livre” offers creative, illustration and writing workshops, a second-hand bookstall, a photo booth, make-up, theatre, improvisations, a book Olympiad, literary attractions, immersive reading, social spaces for games, a relaxing reading area…
