In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that “under the protection of the occupation forces, racist colonialism is escalating, and extremist colonialist gangs continue to commit more crimes, attacks and violations against Palestinian citizens and their lands, houses, properties and crops” and the political level of the Israeli government, especially with the support, support and incitement of the two extremist ministers (Bezalel) and Smotrich and (Itamar) Ben Gvir, the occupation forces and colonialists committed crimes this month. ” According to the report of the Wall and Settlements Resistance Committee, the number in July was about 1,110.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that “the continued occurrence of these crimes clearly shows the failure of the international community to respect and implement relevant resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 2334, and also reflects the weak response of the international community to the settlements and attacks on the organizations and their elements, including the insufficient sanctions imposed on them by some countries.”

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said it was continuing its efforts at the international level to “expose these violations and crimes and call on the international community to exert real pressure on the occupying power to curb the colonizers and put an end to their evasion of the law.”

It stresses “the illegality of settlements and their racist colonial system and calls for the rapid dismantling of terrorist organizations that carry out attacks on our people, the depletion of their sources of funding, and the removal of their political and legal protection. It believes that the cessation of the genocidal war against our people and the cessation of settlements are the right way to restore the political horizon of resolving the conflict.”

Data from the Palestinian government’s Wall and Settlements Resistance Agency showed that settlers launched a total of 1,530 attacks in the West Bank from the beginning of 2024 to the end of July last year.

The range of these attacks includes the imposition of facts on the ground (confiscation of land and colonial expansion), on-the-spot executions, destruction and razing of land, uprooting of hundreds of trees, seizure of property, blockades and barriers that sever Palestinian geographical ties, and burning of houses and land, according to the same source.

According to Israel’s left-wing Peace Now movement, about 500,000 Israelis live in 146 large settlements and 144 settlement outposts established on West Bank territory, excluding occupied East Jerusalem.
