Oulu’s Market Square was closed last August for extensive renovations, much to the chagrin of many. The same will happen this autumn: starting on Monday, September 9, the city’s market life will almost completely come to an end.
Almost exclusively it means that some berry and vegetable sellers can continue to stay in front of the market for a while if necessary. They will be assigned to places near Rantakatu.
Oulu’s Market Square will return to its normal daily routine in a few weeks before the final renovations begin.
