Minister of State for Cultural Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan TD, said: “I’m delighted that my department, the OPW and other voices are once again working together on such an exciting project to celebrate and deepen the interconnectedness between arts, culture, history and sites across the country.
“I’m looking forward to a fantastic showcase of music from a wide range of artists from across Ireland – made all the more meaningful by the setting of these magnificent buildings and rooms.”
Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan TD, who has responsibility for the Office of Public Works, said: “This is the second year Other Voices and the Office of Public Works have partnered with Anam. The live series will give audiences at home and abroad a virtual front row seat to these unique performances.
“Arnhem will showcase uplifting music and song in a meaningful heritage setting. I’m delighted that we can bring light to these sites – they are both an intrinsic part of the local communities and economies and are truly special places for visitors to enjoy.”
Philip King of Other Voices said: “Once again this year we have the privilege of bringing a wide range of uplifting and inspiring music and song to four extraordinary cultural sites that OPW manages and hosts.
“This year we are embarking on a musical journey to four truly extraordinary sites in four counties across the country: Ormond Castle in Tipperary, Portnah Castle in County Galway, Park Castle in County Leitrim and the Pearse Museum in Rathfarnham, County Dublin. We are delighted that these magnificent buildings will play host to some of the world’s great musicians and singers and that we can beam these performances across the world.”
