One way route from Puncak to Jakarta this afternoon: Okezone Megapolitan

Bogor – Bogor Police Traffic Department implements the system One Way Today Saturday afternoon (August 17, 2024), along the Puncak route in Bogor Regency to Jakarta. Vehicles heading to Puncak are temporarily blocked.

Okezone monitoring for Simpang Gadog is effective one way from 13:00 WIB. Police blocked vehicles heading to Puncak from Simpang Ciawi and GT Ciawi exits with water barriers.

Next, a convoy of motorcycles and police cars escorted the last batch of vehicles to Puncak. It is not clear how long the one-way system to Jakarta will be implemented as it still depends on traffic flow conditions.

KBO Bogor Police Traffic Division Iptu Ardian Novianto said that this afternoon, vehicles were queued at several locations along the Puncak route, such as Gunung Mas, Cisarua Market and Megamendung.

“We are therefore prioritising vehicles that have been wanting to get off since this morning but are still being held up by one-way works, or vehicles that are currently blocked at multiple locations. We are therefore prioritising them so that they can reach their respective destinations quicker,” Ardian said on Saturday (17/08/2024).

This one-way process is expected to continue until this afternoon. However, it is still subject to circumstances, taking into account the situation on the ground or the traffic flow on the Puncak route. “We will check the traffic situation later. If you look at the current traffic situation, the queue is long, maybe later (towards Jakarta) the forecast will continue until 17:00 WIB,” he explained.
