Olam Agri, a global leader in the food and agriculture sector, plans to transform the pasta market in Ghana by constructing a new state-of-the-art pasta production facility and expanding its wheat flour production capacity.

The plant is planned to be built in two phases and will have the potential to meet Ghana’s entire demand for pasta. As the only pasta production plant in Ghana, it will bring the product closer to Ghanaian consumers. In order to better control quality, Olam Agri will directly purchase and mill high-quality wheat for pasta production.

Baibhav Biswas, Country Director for Olam Agri in Ghana, said: “With this plant, we will be able to bring high quality, nutritious and affordable pasta products closer to Ghanaian consumers than ever before. This demonstrates our commitment to Ghana and our efforts to contribute positively to the country’s economic development and food security by increasing stability in pasta supply and prices. We hope this will raise standards across the industry. This is an exciting chapter in the Ghanaian food landscape and the future of pasta looks bright and delicious.”

Olam Agri is a large food and agricultural product supplier in Ghana with a history of 30 years. Over the years, the company has invested in high-quality infrastructure and human resources to ensure the production of quality products that meet local needs and international standards.
