Carlos Okaris, leader of the League for Justice and former mayor of Sucre, said that repression and false information activities in Venezuelan politics have increased in recent days.
Okaris recently published a statement on his X account, denying attempts to split the unity of the opposition, dismissing the idea of a split between María Corina Machado, Edmundo González and the parties. According to him, everyone is united in the same team with a clear goal: to change Venezuela.
“They want to show that on one side there is María Corina Machado, on the other side there is Edmundo González and on the other side there are political parties. This is lying. Here everyone is together. María Corina is the leader of the process, Edmundo is our candidate and, of course, the political parties support civil society,” he said.
The political leader called on all sectors disillusioned with Chavismo to unite on July 28 and express their desire for change through voting.
“Millions of people will show through their votes that this country wants change, that we are a team and that is the team that will change Venezuela,” he said.
Repression has returned, and with it come gossip and stories. @EdmundoGU This is one thing, Maria Corina is another…..LIES!!! Do not fall for the lies of those who seek division.
The political parties, their leaders and civil society have supported our candidates and… pic.twitter.com/q19ekd3AlI
