Libreville, Saturday, August 31, 2024 (Gabon News) – General Brice Clotaire Origi Nguema announced Thursday in a speech to the nation, the day before the celebrations of the anniversary of the August 30, 2023 liberation coup.
“Following the discovery at the Mutamba Iroru license (between Gamba and Atola), I announced the exploration of two new licenses, Ozigo II and Nziembou II, and the development of these licenses will soon commence in conjunction with the GOC,” he said.
As soon as they came to power, the military within the Institutional Transition and Restoration Commission (CTRI) began state-building and subsequently restarted economic activity, for which they decided to exploit all natural resources that had remained untapped so far.
The acquisition of Asara Energy and the announcement of the exploration of these two new oil licenses are part of this initiative to rapidly and sustainably improve the daily lives of the Gabonese people.
