“The fundamental points of this ministerial meeting are within the objectives of the general call in the public administration, which is to continue to increase transparency, make more commitments and have more recognition of the best practices and the best conduct of public officials in the future of their functions,” he said Beat.
He insisted that this declaration or commitment to ethical conduct was in the process of being done in some minimal aspects and starting Monday, every public official designated by the president would have to sign and endorse it.
“In this way, the pledge is not just a wish, but a real, firm and unwavering commitment by every public official to the best ethical conduct in the performance of his or her public functions,” he said.

Milagros Ortiz Bosch, head of the General Directorate of Ethics and Government Integrity, said it was a meeting dedicated to transparency and ethics.
“We are committed to doing something fundamental, doing everything within the law, the Constitution and due process. Always respecting the moral and ethical principles that normalize the life of every public official,” he stressed.
He believes that this is a struggle between opacity and light, and therefore has taken very clear measures in terms of obligations on asset declaration, notification procedures and budget management.
“We are not committed to a program, but to participatory development that strikes a balance between all the goals of peace and progress,” Ortiz Bosch concluded.
