The head of state set a goal of tripling the total agricultural output in five years. Guidance work is being carried out in the region. The cultivated area is being diversified, with an increase in the area of ​​oilseeds and socially important crops such as lentils, buckwheat and potatoes. Soil fertility is being increased, with 257,000 tons of mineral fertilizers applied, an increase over the previous year. Work is also underway to update varieties and purchase agricultural equipment. During the field days, an exhibition of modern agricultural machinery was held.

The state provides necessary assistance to farmers. This year, agricultural subsidies in the North Kazakhstan region exceeded 60 billion tenge.

In addition, the latest technologies and best solutions in the field of agricultural science will be presented. Field days will introduce participants to wheat breeding nurseries, variety characteristics and sowing dates. Thanks to the efforts of scientists at the experimental station, a new spring soft wheat variety “Semyonovna” suitable for cultivation in North Kazakhstan was obtained.

Each agricultural year has its own characteristics, and in this regard, the issue of applying scientific developments and scientists’ recommendations to harvest activities remains relevant. At the plenary session, scientists and experts presented scientific methods for conducting the harvest season within the optimal time frame. Farmers need to take into account the adverse weather conditions this year and need to prepare for the harvest in a short time and minimize losses.
