Noronha does not affect Morena at all; he is a good partner: Mario Delgado

The leader of the Moreno party, Mario Delgado Carrillo, insisted that the Cherry Party’s desire to coordinate the majority in the Upper House, which is currently a PT lawmaker and the next senator of the fourth party, will not affect the performance of the party in any affairs and acknowledged him as a great partner, while also confirming that he will leave the Morenoist leadership after four years as the leader of the party, which won almost all the elections after recovering from the irreversible defeat in 2021.

After leaving a meeting with the Morenoist leader and virtual president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, Delgado Carrillo sounded less stressed and, as affable as he is as an official in the capital, he commented that at the meeting the territorial team had recognized that the results achieved last June 2 were the greatest “complete change in the conscience of the Mexican people”, which was reflected on election day and is the achievement of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Mario Delgado assured that the last thing he wanted to do during his tenure as national leader of Morena was to hand over the leadership of the party and carry out its renewal.

“I ended my work in Morena in October and the last thing I wanted to do in Morena was to propose a leadership renewal process. Our leader, Claudia Sheinbaum, will have to set the time to make the call. I can assure you that we have a very organized, very institutionalized, very committed party and there will be no problems with the new leadership,” he said.

He also commented that he did not know if he would be integrated into the cabinet of the next federal government, but “wherever his turn is, he will take it because he has not received an invitation yet.”

Regarding the statement of PT Gerardo Fernández Noroña, who is still a federal deputy, who claims to be the next coordinator of Morena in the Senate of the Republic instead of the former Minister of the Interior, Adan Augusto López Hernández.

“He’s a great partner and that doesn’t affect anything at all. Obviously he always contributes, he’s a model teammate, he’s a free and loyal teammate. Let’s see, it’s an important part of our sport. “We love him very much,” he concluded.
