Niger and Türkiye sign declaration of intent on oil and gas energy cooperation

Niger’s Minister of Petroleum, Mr. Barké Bako Mahaman Moustapha, and Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Alparslan Bayraktar, signed a declaration of intent to cooperate in the strategic field of oil and gas. This symbolic signing took place in the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and marks a key step in strengthening energy relations between Niger and Turkey.

The declaration of intent aims to pave the way for joint projects, the exchange of technology and expertise, and the mutually beneficial exploration of oil and gas resources.
