Nicaragua beats Netherlands to make it three games in U-15 Baseball World Cup

Nicaragua’s national baseball team, made up of 14- and 15-year-old players, beat the Netherlands 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in the Under-15 World Baseball Championship in Cartagena, Colombia, to extend its unbeaten streak to three games.

Three hits came together against Nicaragua as John Sarabia, Eddie Coronado and Berman Moreno were outstanding offensively.

The winning pitcher for Nicaragua was Gean López, who went three scoreless innings, and Cristian Álvarez also had a strong performance, going 2.1 scoreless innings.

Nicaragua beat Venezuela 4-2, South Africa 21-1 and the Netherlands 3-2, and the Pino Lero team will face Mexico tomorrow at 6pm.
