(CNS) – The National Highway Administration (NRA) has partially opened a new road connecting Outpost Street and the Bobby Thompson Way roundabout in one of the nation’s major traffic congestion areas. The new road is designed to improve traffic flow and ease congestion in the area by providing a more efficient route for drivers, especially those heading to the Fairbanks area.
Officials said that while the road is now open to the public, the project is not yet complete and current roadwork will continue.
“Drivers are strongly advised to use caution when traveling through the area. Speed limits must be observed, traffic signs must be paid close attention, and workers on or near the road must be alert,” the NRA said, thanking drivers for their cooperation and patience while the project continues.
