Libreville, Friday, July 5, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – General Jean Hilaire Doudou Lengoma, appointed last June Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Ogooué Mining Company (COMILOG), has been replaced by Ruffin Martial Moussavou, who officially took over his new property at the Ministry of Mines on Tuesday.

This took place during a colorful ceremony presided over by the Minister of Mines, Gilles Nembé, in the presence of Leod Paul Batolo, Managing Director of Comilog. From the outset, the Minister recalled the context of the change of leadership at Comilog, as the country’s highest authorities aim to make Gabon a world mining power.

Comilog, a subsidiary of the French group Eramet, has held the position of the world’s leading manganese producer since 2020 and must consolidate its position as a giant and the second largest private company in the world with a production of 6.6 million tons by 2023. The total number of employees in the country’s various departments is estimated at more than 1,900.

General Jean Hilaire Doudou Lengoma expressed his commitment, worthy of the trust placed in him and the intention to rise to the challenge and bring innovations that will keep Comilog at the best level in the international market. Obviously, such a challenge requires holy unity and the new PCA said it counts on the cooperation of all actors in the mining industry, regardless of rank or grade, to achieve the goals sought.
