Aviation Festival

The Festival of Air is an engaging blend of aviation and entertainment, featuring a museum entrance, beer and wine garden, and a wide variety of vendors and exhibitors. Attendees can enjoy delicious food from food trucks, watch face painting and caricature performances, and listen to lively musical entertainment. Events include impressive aircraft displays, daily flight shows, and engaging aviation demonstrations. Highlights also include 1940s radio shows, reenactments, and a variety of interactive experiences, making for an exciting day for aviation enthusiasts and families.

Glassboro Auto Show and Food Truck Festival

The 19th annual Glassboro Auto Show and Food Truck Festival will be held in downtown Glassboro on August 30, 2024. This free, family-friendly event will attract thousands of car enthusiasts who can admire more than 300 cars while enjoying live music and a variety of local food trucks. The event will feature ample free parking, and dedicated signage and attendees will direct attendees to ensure a smooth experience for everyone. The Auto Show and Festival will take place rain or shine, offering something fun for every car fan and casual enthusiast.

Salute to the Blank Yankees: Somerset Patriots vs. Reading Fighting

The Stoutsburg Sauerland African American Museum (SSAAM) is proud to announce its second annual partnership with the Somerset Patriots to host a fundraiser honoring the legend of the New York Black Yankees and the Negro Leagues. The event will be held at TD Bank Ballpark Friday, August 30featuring a special game between the Somerset Patriots (NYY) and the Reading Fighting Infantry (PHI). The Somerset Patriots will pay tribute to the Negro Leagues by donning special uniforms honoring the Black New York Yankees and featuring the SSAAM logo. These unique player-worn jerseys will be auctioned live, with all proceeds going to support SSAAM’s mission to preserve African American history and culture.

Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival
August 30 – September 1
This family music festival features Southern Appalachian old-time music, bluegrass, and related music styles. For the kids, there is also a children’s stage. The festival grounds have plenty of space for tent and RV campers, and unlike many other music festivals, they do not charge an additional fee for camping. Weekend ticket holders can camp on the grounds for free, but camping is only open to weekend ticket holders – day ticket holders are not allowed to bring vehicles or camping equipment into the campgrounds.

West Cape May Tomato Festival
August 31, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This themed festival will celebrate all things tomato-related, including farm-fresh tomatoes, handcrafted tomato-themed products and tomato-inspired dishes. This year, the festival will feature its first-ever Tomato Contest. Proceeds from this unique event will go to the WCM Shade Tree Committee, supporting them in protecting and improving the tree canopy in West Cape May. Attendees are encouraged to come out and enjoy the community spirit.

Keyport Music and Food Truck Festival
August 31, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Kick off Labor Day weekend with the Keyport Music and Food Truck Festival on Saturday, August 31st at scenic Waterfront Park. The event will feature 17 food trucks serving up a variety of food from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., including Angry Archies, Big John’s Gourmet Burgers, and Cold Stone Creamery. Attendees can expect live music from Fish Eyed Blues at 11 a.m., Soul Seduction at 2 p.m., and Rosewood at 5 p.m. The festival also features a beer/sangria and margarita garden for adults, vendors, and numerous children’s activities, such as bungee trampolines, face painting, and a petting zoo. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the day in the sun.

Fall Flower Festival and Craft Market

The Fall Flower Festival and Craft Market will be held on Saturday, August 31st from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday, September 1st from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This two-day event includes free information sessions and demonstrations, a tour of the spectacular gardens, and a craft market with a variety of selected vendors and food, presented in conjunction with Marketspace Vendor Events. Admission and parking are free and the event will take place rain or shine.

New Jersey Clearwater Festival

The Friends of Clearwater, NJ, Music Festival returns to Asbury Park for its 49th annual event on Saturday, August 31, 2024 (1-8 p.m.) and Sunday, September 1, 2024 (12-5 p.m.). The two-day open-air festival celebrates collective efforts to protect the environment and serves as a vital hub for environmental ideas and initiatives in New Jersey. Attendees can enjoy top folk and rock performances on two music stages, browse craft and green vendors, mingle with environmental activists, sample food from a variety of trucks, and attend special children’s activities and discussion roundtables. In the spirit of friendship and song that Pete Seeger pioneered more than 50 years ago, the festival combines fun, inspiration, and education.

BBQ and Craft Beer Festival

The annual BBQ and Craft Beer Festival returns to Monmouth Park over Labor Day weekend for three days of delicious barbecue and craft beer. Attendees can sample more than 40 New Jersey-brewed craft beers and enjoy a variety of barbecue favorites, including ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Food trucks will be available starting around 11 a.m., and beer garden tasting tickets are $15 and include 10 two-ounce samples. Tastings will be from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and ticket sales and check-in will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; same-day ticket purchases will be accepted in cash only. There will be live music from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and on Saturday and Sunday, families can enjoy free activities such as clown shows, face painting, pony rides and bouncy castles in the picnic area from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. General admission tickets and tasting tickets can be purchased in advance at seatgeek.com/monmouth to save 15%.

Clifton Food and Music Festival

The Clifton Food and Music Festival will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The event will feature a variety of food trucks, live bands, a beer and wine garden, vendors, and a children’s play area. Tickets are $5 per person, and children 36 inches tall and under are admitted free. Proceeds will go to the Clifton Veterans Committee to support events such as the Veterans Day Parade. Free parking is available at the event.

Maple Porch Festival

Riverdale’s Annual Labor Day Street Fair

The Riverdale Annual Labor Day Street Fair hosted by the City of Riverdale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the Newark Pompton Turnpike from Newbury Square to Cortelous Road. This annual event takes place on Labor Day Monday. During the event, the streets will be closed to vehicles and transformed into one big block party. If you like outdoor shopping, this is the place for you. Quality exhibitors selling a variety of goods, a special arts and crafts area, live entertainment, rides and games for the kids, delicious festival food and food trucks, and more.
