The 106th 4-day event has come to an end. Under the scorching sun, the soldiers arrived at Charlemagne to receive the cross only at 6 pm today. 1,958 Dutch soldiers successfully reached the finish line. Last Tuesday, the 4-day event began with 2,446 Dutch soldiers setting out from the Heumensoord camp.

34 countries
A total of 6,426 soldiers from 34 countries participated. Of these, 5,455 completed the task. They walked 40 kilometers every day, carrying 10 kilograms of luggage. Except for the last day. Due to the hot weather, the organization decided that the soldiers could leave their backpacks in the camp. The route of other participants was shortened by ten kilometers.
Nearly 45,500 walkers took part in the largest walk in the Netherlands.
