Yesterday the first #DUSA masterclass organized by MrZonneman took place in the stArtwell building in Amsterdam.
The theme of the inaugural session was “Networking”, which aimed to highlight the importance of a strong network for career development.
The timing of this masterclass was carefully chosen as many Surinamese artists are in the Netherlands for cultural exchanges and festivals.
This creates a unique opportunity to bring together different audiences and strengthen the ties between Dutch and Surinamese artists.
Three renowned speakers performed at the conference: Clarence Creebsburg from Becoming You!, Melissa Benn from MMB Management and Surinamese artist Otjeman. Their insights and experiences made the two-hour masterclass a great success.
In addition to valuable knowledge, the masterclass also provided practical demonstrations. Several artists and fashion designers had the opportunity to showcase their work in a lively and interactive atmosphere.
At the end of the evening, artists, producers and event managers exchanged contact information, laying the foundation for future collaborations.
Each participant will receive a certificate of participation via e-mail. A registration list is drawn up for this purpose so that everyone can receive their certificate.
The positive response from the participants highlighted the great need for such conferences. Many said they were looking forward to the next Masterclass as they gained many new insights and connections.
“With this message we would like to thank all participants for their attendance and enthusiasm. We also thank our team for their strong support and hard work. The objectives of this Masterclass have clearly been achieved and we look forward to the next one,” said Mr. Zonneman.
