In an unexpected move, the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development, Phiona Nyamutoro, has revealed how her professional association with renowned Ugandan musician, Eddy Kenzo, turned into a romance that has enchanted the nation.
Ms Nyamutoro first met Eddie Kenzo at a business meeting and was impressed by the way he looked at her.
The intensity of his gaze puzzled her, especially considering his background and reputation.
“I was curious why someone with such a history like Eddy Kenzo would look at me like that. I didn’t understand it at all.‘” she shared.
Their second meeting was meant to be another business encounter but took an unexpected turn. Ms Nyamutoro recalled being stunned by what she called a “rude proposal”. She was shocked that Eddy Kenzo had expressed his desire to marry her so quickly despite being a stranger and known for his past relationships.
The relationship between the BET award-winning artist and the minister has become one of the most talked-about topics in Uganda this year.
